How to Wear Your Class Ring
When you design your ring, choose thoughtfully. The most important factor in wearing your class ring is first choosing the right ring for you. Design the ring that best represents your personality: what athletic programs or clubs you belong to, your favorite colors, your choice of metal, as well as what you care about most.
Traditionally, class rings are worn on the right-hand ring finger, as the left is reserved for wedding bands and engagement rings. However, if you find that the fit of your ring changes over time and you prefer not to have it adjusted, it’s perfectly fine to move the ring to a smaller or larger finger.
While in school, the ring should be worn so that when your arm is outstretched the school name faces you. This serves as a reminder that your goal is graduation, and also that your time at school is meant to be a time of self-development. After graduation, the ring is turned around so the insignia faces outward, more visible to others. Congratulations! You’ve earned this symbol of honor—and the right to show it off! Now your focus in life shifts to the larger world. Note that individual schools may have different traditions, so check with fellow students.

If you have trouble finding your school, please try the following tips:
- Search by school name and city. Example, "washington high dallas".
- Search by school zip code. For example, instead of the school name you can search by the school's zip code. Beverly Hills High School could be located by searching "90210".
