The Official Yale Class Ring
The student designed Yale class ring is a joint effort between the Associated Student Agencies and Balfour. A committee of students work to create a symbol that represents the institution’s history and education, and the Yale experience.
Every Yale ring displays the institution’s crest proudly on the top of the ring. Students have the option to personalize the left and right sides of the ring with their graduation year, college of study, and degree letters. The band of the ring is engraved with a personal message, as well.
Graduating from Yale is an accomplishment that should be celebrated. The tradition of a single design class ring is one that serves not only to honor this achievement, but also to remind students of their experiences at the University.
Generations of Yale alumni have proudly worn the class ring. Just as there is only one Yale, there is only one, unique ring that is exclusively worn by juniors, seniors, and alumni. What the iconic ring represents will remain unchanged, linking current students to past, present, and future generations of Yale alumni across the world.
Juniors and seniors who purchase the class ring have the opportunity to have their ring formally presented to them during Yale’s Official Ring Ceremony during Family Weekend. Since its inception in 2014, this ceremony allows recipients who have earned the right to wear the ring gather to celebrate their accomplishments and show their Yale pride.
